Required Registration Documents

  • Important! In order for your child to be eligible to participate in the 2024 season, ALL participants require a current physical (dated January 1, 2024 or later). 2024 Physical Form

    • Our new insurance requires all participants to have a signed/stamped physical in 2024. We are no longer able to allow kids to play with ones from the previous year. We understand that your insurance only covers physicals once a year, so if your child is receiving their annual physical before July 31, 2024, then you should be all set. If your child is scheduled to get the annual physical after July 31, 2024, all we need is the physical waiver that is attached to be dated, signed and/or stamped by your physician anytime before July 31, 2024.

Once complete please return to Football/Cheer Registration ASAP.

  • Official AYF Player Pack - Found on the SC website, under Recent Registrations. Choose Child > Print Forms > Official AYF Volunteer Pack and then print.

FAQs

  • We start the first week of August and end a week or two before Thanksgiving.

  • We typically practice 4 times a week until school starts and 3 times a week after. Practice is normally two hours in the evening and games are mostly on Sunday, but can also be on Saturday. Football coaches may request a Saturday walk-thru that lasts about an hour.

As our cheering teams near competition, it is possible that the coaches will call extra practices depending on the teams progress. Coaches will communicate these practices to families. Typically these extra practices are held on the weekends.

  • Football: Season starts at the Higgins Middle School. On [TBD] we move to Ross Park (Johnson St) because they have lights.

Cheer: Season starts at the Higgins Middle School. On [TBD] we move to [TBD].

  • Players need to prepare their bodies for the movements they'll make during a game. They have to warm up those muscles, build endurance, and maintain strength and flexibility.
